Hi, I’m Janice Lau Perez—artist, planner addict, avid journaler, and the creative heart behind Hamletta Studios.


I’m a mom of two in sunny California, squeezing in creative time between snack requests and storytime. What started as doodles in the margins has grown into a joyful little studio where I create playful art with sassy heart.

I make stickers, stationery, printables, and journaling prompts designed to brighten your day, spark some creative joy.

Hamletta Studios is home to a cast of cute and sassy characters who pop up in my art to cheer you on as you journal, plan, and try to keep it together with a bit of humor and heart.

My Story

I followed a traditional path, completing college, graduate school, and working in a government job I loved. But when it was time to start a family, I realized that career did not offer the flexibility or time I needed for the life I wanted.

With my husband’s support, we chose for me to stay home and homeschool our children. That decision changed everything. I learned how important it is to live intentionally and within my means.

I also finally embraced my calling as an artist, something I had resisted growing up. Journaling and creative planning became my creative outlet during those days of doubt, helping me feel grounded and fulfilled when life felt overwhelming. If you feel that same pull to create and make space for yourself, you’re not alone.

Hamletta Studios grew from that journey, a place where creativity and intention come together. I create playful tools to help you slow down, reflect, and make room for your own growth and joy.
